The Polestar 2 is a battery electric 5-door liftback produced by the Swedish automaker Volvo under its Polestar sub-brand. Based on the CMA platform, production began in March 2020 at the Luqiao CMA Super Factory in Luqiao, China.

ONE PEDAL DRIVING

When you take your foot off the accelerator in a conventional car, nothing much happens except for a slight decrease in speed. In an electric car with one-pedal drive, lifting your foot engages regenerative braking: the car uses its own kinetic energy to slow down, and converts the car’s speed back into reusable energy, prolonging your range.

Digital key with pre-climate

Download the free Polestar app, link it to your Polestar ID and safely lock or unlock Polestar 2 by touching the door handle. The app also includes a climate control function to set the desired cabin temperature in advance, using the energy from the charger rather than the car's battery.

Google built-in

Polestar 2 is the world's first car with Google built-in. The driver-oriented interface on the 11.2-inch center display gives you a uniquely user-friendly experience right from the start.

Heated front seats

An elevated sitting experience. The driver seat and front passenger seat are heated with individual three-level touch controls as standard.

High Performance Audio

Experience high sound quality throughout the passenger compartment. The Polestar 2's High Performance Audio system delivers 250 watts through eight speakers, including a bass-boosting air woofer mounted under the hood just below the windshield.

Over-the-air updates

Drive a car that stays as current as the day it left the factory. Polestar 2's built-in Android Automotive operating system is connected to the Internet, ready to receive regular over-the-air updates just like a smartphone.

LED headlights with active high beam

Polestar 2's origami-inspired headlights can shine without blinding. Upon selecting the active high beam function, camera sensors in the windshield monitor for the headlights of approaching vehicles or the taillights of cars directly ahead. Once detected, Polestar 2's headlights automatically switch to low beam.
