MG cars in Thailand, had the Thailand premiere and official price announcement of NEW MG MAXUS 9, a luxury, 7-seater electric MPV perfected with advanced functions and features. Aside from strengthening the image of MG as the EV leader in Thailand’s vast automotive market, the launch also means MG is the first auto brand exploring a new category of 7-seater EVs. The price of NEW MG MAXUS 9 starts from 2.499 million baht in the X version while the V version will be available from 2.699 million baht.

The Thailand launch of NEW MG MAXUS 9 is symbolized as a solid stamp to mark the 2nd decade of MG in Thailand. It also opens a new frontier in Thai automotive market with a new product category which can offer ‘The Best’ in every possible product aspect. The design is elegant, eye-catching, and unique with features like a Grille Less Design up front, electronically operated loading compartment door coupled with sliding doors on the left and as well as the right. The cabin impresses all occupants with premium details like a dual panoramic sunroof to give a sense of spaciousness, an ambient light system with 64 interchangeable colors for aesthetics in every journey, as well as a dual zone climate control for convenience of every occupant. Additionally, the cabin is well-thought-out in design with the inclusion of amenities like an 8-direction electric seat adjusting system for driver and a 4-direction electric adjusting system for front occupants. Seats on the second row are designated as VIP Captain Seats as they are designed to give a comfy journey just like first class seats on airliners. These seats are equipped with memory function, massage system, seat temperature control, and foldable tables. The central display is a user-friendly, 12.3-inch touchscreen that supports Apple CarPlay as well as Android phones. 12 speakers give a surround sound experience along the way while 9 USB ports throughout the cabin ensure every smart device can be recharged for uninterrupted connection. In terms of performance, Thailand’s first and only e-MPV to date like NEW MG MAXUS 9 uses an electric motor which can generate a peak output in equivalent to 245 hp and a peak torque of 350 Nm. A 90 kWh, Cell-To-Pack, Li-ion battery gives an estimated range per a charge at 540 km according to NDEC criteria. It also supports up to 120 kWh of quick charging so the battery can be recharged from 30 to 80 percent in just 30 minutes. For standard charging, it takes about 8.5 hours to recharge the battery from 5 to 100 percent with a charging power of 11 kWh. For safety, the chassis of NEW MG MAXUS 9 is a Full Space Frame platform with airbags, MG’s proprietary ADVANCED SYNCHRONIZED PROTECTION SYSTEM with 25 safety features, as well as ADAS. NEW MG MAXUS has received major automotive safety certifications with a 5-star EURO NCAP and a 5-star AUSTRALIAN NCAP.

  • An extended vehicle warranty of 5 years or 160,000 km, whichever comes first.  
  • Unlimited time and mileage roadside assistance coupled with a 5-year, free, and unlimited limousine service in case of emergency.
