ASEAN Electric Vehicle Expo 2022 is being organised in conjunction with World EV Day, an
annual global event to encourage more people to switch to electric vehicles and sustainable mobility. Other than creating awareness on the benefits of electric vehicles, UXEV also aims to educate the public about electric vehicles safety.

For the main AEVE event at KL Gateway in Kuala Lumpur, it is targeted that around 10,000 visitors across the three days to attend the talk sessions, visit the electric vehicle exhibition and test drive sessions. An estimation of 20% of the visitors will be potential vehicle buyers or ready to switch to an EV. The event will also be attended by regional government agencies and industry players across South East Asia.
There will also be a networking session among the participants with key players in the EV industry.

Limited test drives will also be available during the weekend, so for those that want to experience what it feels like to be behind the wheels of an EV vehicle, then attending AEVE 2022 is definitely a must.

By 2025, the electric vehicle (EV) market is projected to be worth some 567 billion U.S. dollars, globally. While this market is rapidly growing overall, hybrid electric vehicles are expected to account for about 46 percent of the market in 2025, according to data provided by KPMG.

With more EV brands making their way to the South East Asia market and strong support from the ASEAN governments, it will be an exciting decade for the EV industry.

AEVE 2022 will also host ElectrifyASEAN 2022, a forum series to create awareness on the electric vehicle impacts and opportunities. The ElectrifyASEAN project is one of the recipients for Young SouthEast Asian Leaders Initiative (YSEALI) Summit 2022 Small Grants and supported by the U.S. Embassy Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei Darussalam.
