Singapore Motorshow 2023: Strong BEV Cars Presence

The Singapore Motorshow returns for its 2023 edition, after an absence of 3 years. It is being held from 12 – 15 January at Suntec City Convention Centre, Hall 4. In the last show in 2020, the presence of BEVs (Battery Electric Vehicles) at the event were far and wide. This year, however, we will be able to experience a wide array of BEV models, by numerous brands.  In fact, there are more than 70 hybrid and battery electric models being displayed at this years show, with an emphasis on low emission vehicles, as well as sustainability. Lets have a look at some of the notable brands and exhibits, as well as exciting models to look out for, in the BEV space.

AUDI
 
Discover the Audi e-tron GT at the Singapore Motorshow. Be enthralled by the sleek exterior design. Enhanced with sustainably-sourced interior materials, go the distance with up to 488 km on a single charge.

BMW
 
While BMW is showcasing many models at this years show, only two BEVs are being showcased. The BMW iX and iX3 SUVs will be displayed at the BMW booth
 
BYD
 
Come on down to check out the eagerly awaited BYD Seal, as well as the BYD Dolphin.  Also, experience the all-new and increasingly popular BYD ATTO 3which was launched in Singapore a few months ago.
 
Hyundai
 
Check out the newly unveiled IONIQ 5 First 100 Limited Edition alongside with Hyundai’s range of Hybrid-Electric Vehicles on display : KONA, TUCSON, SANTA FE.
 
The Hyundai Motor Group Innovation Center in Singapore (HMGICS) will be producing the first EV in Singapore. To commemorate this special milestone, it will be launching 100 units of the IONIQ 5 First 100 that will be available for bidding from 12 January at 2:30pm.
 
Kia
 
Join Kia at the Singapore Motorshow 2023 with their brand new look, new logo and their second electric vehicle, the Kia Niro EV.
Visit their booth  and experience their newest fully-electric cars – the Niro EV and the award-winning EV6.
 
Mercedes-Benz
 
Be at the forefront of electric mobility. With sustainability at the heart of its design, the Mercedes-EQ range reimagines the future of mobility as we know it. Discover the EQE, the EQA, and the EQB at the Singapore Motorshow 2023.
 
MG Motors
 
MG Motors launched their MG ZS, as well as their MG4 EV models on the first day of the show. Expect these models to compete with China’s BYD in capturing the EV market in Singapore.
 
Subaru
 
Unveiled for the first time to the public, Subaru presented itsvery first full electric SUV on the first day of the show – the all-new Subaru Solterra EV. Which continues the trend of a modern day electric SUV which carries Subaru’s AWD DNA with it as well!
 
Toyota
 
The Toyota bZ4X is marking its first entry on Singapore shores at the Singapore Motorshow. However, it is only a preview, as this model is not officially on sale by Toyota in Singapore. Stay tuned for more updates
 
Volkswagen
 
Finally, Volkswagen will also  be previewing its ID.4 and ID.BUZZ EVs at the show.  However, like the bZ4X, both these models are not yet available for on sale in Singapore. The ID.4 should be launching in the market in 2023, and the ID.BUZZ sometime in 2024.
 
Volvo
 
The Geely-owned automaker will be displaying their C40 & XC40 models during the show. These SUVs go from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.8 seconds, powered by a 402hp electric motor.
