Hongqi, the premium brand of FAW Group, announced the launch of its Hongqi E-HS9 luxury battery electric SUV model in Tel Aviv-Yafo, Israel on April 6th 2022. This award-winning model is being distributed by Samelet, Israel’s leading automobile distributor.
Over the past six months, Honqi & Samelet have been conducting in-depth product planning, market analysis, certification preparation and other preliminary works for the launch of the Hongqi E-HS9 in Israel.
Israel is the second stop for Hongqi’s international expansion, after venturing into the Norwegian market in October 2021. FAW Hongqi sold 175 vehicles in the Norwegian market in the first month of 2022.
FAW Group Corporation (FAW) announced on April 26 that the Hongqi E-HS9 SUV model was honored with the “Best Design Car” Award at the 2021 Chinese Auto Fengyun Awards Awarding Ceremony, which was hosted by China Central Television.
The Hongqi E-HS9 hit the market in Dec. 2020 and is highly recognized by consumers with its classy exterior, futuristic interior and decent range.
As the first luxury flagship battery electric SUV model under Hongqi brand, the E-HS9 represents a milestone achievement for Hongqi’s development in NEV field, and demonstrates FAW’s latest technologies in electrification and intelligent connectivity.
